Why We Are Inspired to Run
On October 11, 2026, we’ll be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon as part of Advocate Health Care’s charity team.
Over the next few months, we’ll be training, fundraising, and preparing to take on all 26.2 miles while supporting Advocate’s programs and services. Team Advocate has raised nearly $2 million since 2011, helping fund cancer research, support individuals with Down syndrome, and give back to the nurses and physicians who care for so many every day.
Running has become such a big part of our lives. We’ve each completed three half marathons, and this year, we’re taking on our biggest challenge yet—our first full marathon together in Chicago.
We’re so excited (and a little nervous!) to take this on and can’t wait to cross that finish line.
