Why I'm Running

On October 11, 2026, I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon as part of Advocate Health’s Charitable Foundation team, alongside some of the most amazing people! I’m running to raise money for Advocate Health’s pediatric cardiology research and care facilities, in support of the incredible patients and families I care for every day.

As a pediatric cardiac nurse, I have the privilege of caring for children with congenital heart conditions and witnessing their strength, resilience, and courage firsthand. These patients inspire me daily, and running this marathon is my way of giving back to a community that means so much to me.

Every donation helps support lifesaving care, innovative treatments, family resources, and continued advancements for children living with congenital heart disease. Your support not only helps fund important programs and services, but also honors the bravery of the children and families facing these challenges each day.

Training for 26.2 miles will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to the battles these kids fight with incredible courage every single day.
