Why I'm Running

On October 11th, 2026, I will be running my first ever marathon! I am running on the Advocate Health Care charity running team along with Nurses I work with. I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to support patients and families in need. As a nurse, this mission is espessically close to my heart. I get to see everyday how much compassionate and accessible care matters. 

The Advocate charity running team has raised over 2 million for Advocate Health Care programs and services. By joining the charity running team, I am supporting cancer research, helping children and adults with Down syndrome, and giving back to the nurses and physicians who save lives every day.
