Why I'm Running

On October 11, 2026, I will be representing Advocate Health as a member of the charity running team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of the charity running team, I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to benefit patients and families in need.

I am beyond excited to be apart of this team and over the past few years, I have discovered a love for long distance running and the discipline, consistency, and resilience it builds. As a pediatric ICU nurse, I see firsthand how high-quality pediatric care depends on strong resources, on going research, and community support. Fundraising through this race allows me to combine something I’m passionate about with the work I do every day, using each mile to help Advocate Children’s Hospital continue providing the care and support their patients and families depend on.
