Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and considering a contribution for Advocate Health Care! 

If you've known me for a while, you're probably wondering what in the world could compel me to run a marathon. Valid question. Shortly after Maria and I moved to Chicago in 2022, we discovered a band of crazy, wonderful people known as the Skokie Swifters Run/Walk Club, and I tried my best to be a dedicated teammate, helping Maria train for the inaugural Every Woman's Marathon in 2024. I didn't consider myself a runner, but eventually (slow learner) I came to understand the power of this gift my wife and my club had given me.

As a tribute to these people who have added so much to my funny little life, I'm going to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 11, 2026, and I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to represent Advocate Health Care as a member of its charity running team. This is an incredible organization that has served many of my friends and teammates, and I'm excited to be able to raise funds to benefit more patients and families in need of care.

Since 2011, the Advocate charity running team has raised over $2 million for Advocate Health Care programs and services. By joining the charity running team, I am part of a diverse group of people who are supporting cancer research, helping children and adults with Down syndrome, giving back to the nurses and physicians who save lives every day and much more.
