Why I'm Running
On October 11, 2026, I will be representing Advocate Health Care as a member of the charity running team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, running in support of their Cancer Care centers—a cause that is deeply meaningful to my family and me. In December 2020, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and through countless treatments and the unwavering support of Advocate Health professionals, she overcame her diagnosis. We are blessed to say that to date, she is cancer-free!
Inspired by her journey, I will be training, fundraising, and running 26.2 miles to benefit all patients and families in need. Running and fitness have always been a passion of mine. I have completed two half marathons, and since taking running more seriously in 2023, it has been a personal goal of mine to run the Chicago Marathon.
Since 2011, the Advocate charity running team has raised over $2 million for programs that benefit their Cancer Care centers, Down syndrome support, and frontline caregivers. I’m proud to be part of this effort—your donation of any amount helps me reach my goal and ensures over one million people have access to world-class care close to home.
