Why I'm Running

On October 11, 2026, I will be representing Advocate Health Care as a member of the charity running team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of the charity running team, I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to benefit patients and families in need. 

When I was a sophomore in high school my grandfather passed away from an aortic aneurysm. This is a condition in which the aorta become enlarged and ruptured. This sparked me to pursue a career in healthcare. My current position is an Exercise Physiologist where I work in CardioPulmonary to treat patients suffering from various cardiac and pulmonary complications. I am running for my grandfather, family members, and my patients who are bettering themselves everyday! Seeing them graduate from our program is the most rewarding feeling. Heart Disease is the number 1 killer in the United States, and I want to help fundraise to provide further treatment.
