Why I'm Running

On October 11, 2026, I will be representing Advocate Health Care as a member of the charity running team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of the charity running team, I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles in hope of benefiting breast cancer patients. 

I will forever be grateful for the Advocate Health Care organization and its team of doctors as they are the ones that made it possible for my mom to beat breast cancer last year. Advocate’s team of specialists not only detected my mom’s diagnosis at a very early stage, but were there every step of the way during this difficult journey. With their compassionate and understanding approach they gave us hope and assured us my mom would overcome this disease. Every single doctor and nurse we met at Advocate genuinely cared for my mom and was committed to her well being. No questions went unanswered and their guidance gave us the strength to stay positive. I honestly could not have asked for a better health organization and team of doctors to treat my mom. 

No actions or words will ever be able to express and repay what Advocate Health Care has done for me and my family. I hope the donations collected through this run will benefit and make a positive impact for another family. I plan to dedicate my run to all the fighters, survivors and the ones taken by breast cancer.
