I began running during the Covid pandemic as a way to get out of the house and stay active. I continue to run for my physical and mental health. In 2022, I ran the Chicago Marathon for the first time. Before the race, I was convinced it would be my one and only—but less than 12 hours after crossing the finish line, I was already planning for 2023. Now, I’m completely hooked! This year marks my fifth time running the Chicago Marathon, setting me up for Legacy Status.
I'm proud to run for Team Advocate because the Advocate Health Care system has played a significant role in my family’s life. Our family has received care from multiple Advocate facilities, including Advocate Condell, Advocate Good Sheppard, and Advocate Children’s Hospital at Lutheran General.
After becoming a nurse, I learned of the home health services that Advocate can provide to help keep patients at home. Each interaction with Advocate Health Services has been met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion from the healthcare teams.
Because of these experiences, I couldn’t think of a better cause to support.
Any donations to my personal fundraising page will go directly to the Advocate Charitable Foundation, which supports local programs and hospitals—whether it’s easing the burden on families with children receiving care at Advocate Children’s Hospital or helping patients stay comfortably at home through Advocate Home Health services.
I’m honored to support a place that has given so much to my family and so many others.
