Why I'm Running

On February 10, 2025, my dad, Ray Kubani, died unexpectedly due to heart-related causes. To honor my dad, on October 12, 2025, I will be running the Chicago Marathon as a member of the Advocate Health Care charity running team. I have selected The Research Programs, AMG Heart Institute as the specific program to raise money for. This fund currently provides staffing support for a study centered around hypertension as a leading cause of cardiovascular disease and developing better methods for self-measured blood pressure.

 As a member of the charity running team, I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to benefit patients and families in need.

Over the next seven months, I will run the Chicago Half-Marathon and share training updates all in preparation for the 26.2 miles this October.
