Why I'm Running
On October 12, 2025, I will be representing Advocate Health Care as a member of the charity running team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of the charity running team, I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to benefit patients and families in need.
Since 2011, the Advocate charity running team has raised over $2 million for Advocate Health Care programs and services. By joining the charity running team, I am part of a diverse group of people who are supporting cancer research, helping children and adults with Down syndrome, giving back to the nurses and physicians who save lives every day and much more.
You too can support Advocate Health Care by contributing to my efforts to fundraise. Your donation of any amount will not only help me achieve my goal, but will also help to ensure that over one million people have access to world-class care close to their home.
Personal
I’m about to take on the biggest challenge of my life: running the Chicago Marathon. It’s hard to believe, but just a few months ago, I could barely run a mile without stopping. But here I am, ready to take on 26.2 miles — and I need your support to make this journey even more meaningful.
Why the Chicago Marathon?
I’ve always been someone who thrives on challenges. Whether it’s pushing my limits, learning something new, or stepping outside my comfort zone, I’ve never shied away from testing my strength. When I decided to run, it wasn’t just about the race. It was about proving to myself that I could achieve something no one in my family has ever done: complete a marathon.
Running a marathon is a monumental task. But I’m not running just for myself. I’m running for everyone who’s ever doubted their limits, for those who believe they can’t do something, and for my family who has supported me every step of the way. I want to show them (and myself) that anything is possible when you set your mind to it.
I’m taking on this challenge not just for the finish line, but for the journey — to see how far I can push myself and prove to everyone that anything is possible. With your support, I can cross that finish line knowing I didn’t do it alone.
Thank you for believing in me and for helping me make history, one step at a time.
See you at the Finish Line!
