Team Hogan
On October 13, 2024, five (yes, FIVE!) Hogans will each be running their first marathon and representing Advocate Aurora Health Care as a charity running team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon! Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Il. where children and families facing the most difficult challenges imaginable are provide compassionate and comprehensive care. Each of us will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to benefit this important organization and the patients and families that they serve.
Our Team goal is to raise $10,000 to support the Pediatric Oncology Unit as they continue their important work. That is why we are asking you to join us in supporting this cause by making a donation to the Team Hogan fundraising page. No amount is too small or too large. Every dollar counts and makes a difference. Together, we can make a positive impact and bring hope and healing to those who need it most!
Thank you for your encouragement, support, and generosity throughout this journey!

Why I'm Running...
Danielle: After ending my college soccer career, I have found it difficult to have a passion for exercise without goal-oriented and team-oriented training. I've always had a love/hate relationship with running, and in the back of my mind running the Chicago marathon has always been a part of my bucket-list. Well, there is no better time than the present to cross an item off that list. Now, I am excited to have a goal to train for as well as the honor of running it with my Hogan family and for an amazing cause. I am running for myself, my team, and for all the kiddo's out there fighting an unimaginable battle like cancer. Please consider donating to our team and follow along our training journey.
Connor: I am running the Chicago Marathon as a personal challenge for myself, while also creating lasting memories with my wife, dad, and brothers. I’m also excited to be able to support a great cause like Advocate Children’s Hospital.
Aidan: I am running the Chicago Marathon for both the physical and mental challenge of completing a marathon. I’m excited to push myself and become both mentally and physically stronger. And, to do so while running to support such a good cause will make completing this marathon so much more rewarding!
Colin: I got in through the lottery so I am really here for moral support! Running a marathon is a symbol of perseverance and determination, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects one's commitment to themselves. It’s also an amazing opportunity to showcase an organization like Advocate Aurora and their contributions towards Pediatric Oncology. For me, running a marathon restores a competitive spirit and will challenge me to push beyond my limits.
Rod: Well, I never really wanted to run a marathon… then the talk started. And, momentum took over! Not sure I really know what I have gotten myself into but I do know it will be a great challenge for a great cause!! Wish me luck!!!
