I’m excited to be running my first full marathon at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 13th. This race is more than a personal milestone for me and supports a cause I'm deeply passionate about as an emergency department physician at Advocate Sherman Hospital.

After completing the Chicago Spring Half Marathon, I'm ready to conquer the full 26.2 miles, inspired by my marathon-running sister. Despite my busy schedule, I train at least three times a week, often listening to audiobooks to stay motivated.

I'm running to raise funds for Advocate Health Care's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) programs, which provides critical care and support to survivors of sexual assault. The donations will help train specialized SANE nurses to deliver sensitive, professional care.

Having witnessed the progress in survivor support over my ten years in emergency medicine, I'm driven to contribute to this important work.
