In 2022, I ran the Chicago Marathon for the first time. Before the race, I swore I was only running once. Less than 12 hours after finishing, I was talking about running it again in 2023 and now I'm hooked! Im working towards qualifying for Boston! 

I choose to run for Team Advocate because the Advocate Healthcare System has been a huge part of my family’s life.

In July of 2011, my dad, John,  was diagnosed with Lupus. Since then he has required multiple hospital stays due to flare-ups and complications.

Then in 2014, my then three week old son , George, had to be transferred to Advocate's Children Hospital in Park Ridge. He had to stay there for a week for a bowel obstruction.

Since then we have also had to visit the emergency department at Condell and Good Sheppard. During all of our visits,  the healthcare workers have always been incredibly helpful and compassionate.

Today we prefer to use the Advocate Health Care system for all of our needs. 

Any donations to my personal page will be designated to Advocate Good Sheppard's Emergency Department. I could not imagine a better charity to support. 

Since 2011, the Inspired to Run team has raised more than $1 million for Advocate Health Care programs and services. By joining the charity running team, I am part of a diverse group of people who are supporting cancer research, helping children and adults with Down syndrome, and giving back to the nurses and physicians who save lives every day and much more.
