Established in 1977, the Good Samaritan of the Year Award honors outstanding citizens who continuously give back to the hospital and the community through their life’s work, volunteerism and philanthropic support.

Share Perinatal Support Services

Share is the perinatal support program at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. Its mission is to help families who experience a high-risk pregnancy, premature birth, sick infant, or pregnancy and infant loss.

Share provides personal guidance for the entire family through the immediate crisis period as well as emotional, spiritual, financial, and social support in the days and even years after such an event. Share also provides educational opportunities, informational resources, and sensitivity training to staff who are in direct contact with these high-acuity patients. Services provided by Share are not billed to the families. The program is entirely funded by charitable donations.
